Excellent accommodation set in a wonderful peaceful location, could not ask for more.

This was superior accommodation with extra touches like towels, tea towels, cloth/sponge for washing up, milk, wine and toilet rolls; all thoughtful items which mean you can arrive and start your holiday straight away. For everything else i.e. food, Tesco does home delivery. The owners were very friendly and offered their assistance if required but were not in any way intrusive. The cottage was extremely clean and well kitted out and the location very picturesque with cattle, sheep, horses and deer in the fields round about and great forest walks from the doorstep. The pool and games room were terrific and well used by our family. The location was ideal for touring Fife and Perthshire with easy access to Edinburgh. Highly recommended holiday experience and we would definitely return.

For peaceful solitude, with wonderful domestic facilities, convenient to St Andrews, golf etc, this is the ideal location. But bring plenty of your own food and drink !!

Tranquil escape, even though we were snowed in ,the surroundings, facilities[especially the pool and games room] were excellent, will definitely return.

We all went as one big family and had both cottages. The snow was unbelievable and at least a foot deep - on the first day we got stuck on the hill into the cottages, and Ian was very helpful, it was late and he was out with the grit and shovel. The cottages are beautiful and the swimming pool was fantastic. Because of the weather we were unable to go out for walks and to explore the local villiage, however this did not affect us as there is plenty of things to do on the complex, we didnt even get in the games room/gym till day 3 as we were too busy in the pool. Ian came and gave us sledges and we went sledging several times, we came back and booked to go again next year! Thanks to Kate and Ian for a fantastic holiday!

Everthying was perfect. Waking up and going for a swim in the beautiful pool was bliss. The gym and games room kept even the big kids amused. Definately return to this property and will recommend it to everyone.

I cannot recommend The Old Cart House enough. Kate really is a class act, and has put together a very high quality accommodation which was a pleasure. Being a self-catering novice I really didn't know what to expect and brought quite a lot that really wasn't necessary. The quality and specification of the accommodation is very high and it is matched by the truly wonderful setting. All around were rabbits, sheep, deer and beautiful beautiful countryside. Daisy, my very well-behaved King Charles Cavalier had a lovely time and was made to feel very welcome.
I must be honest and say that the weather wasnt up to much but what do you expect from a British summer? Still it didnt put us off with days out and plenty of walks in the lovely forests.
I would absolutely love to go back again, possibly even this Autumn.

The location was perfect, the cottage was perfect, the facilities were perfect and the cleanliness was perfect. Worth every penny and I wish all holiday accommodation was like this - sheer perfection!

Great location and excellent facitities - pool was great. Very good central basse for exploring Fife. If you like Mexican food definitely go to the Kettlebridge Inn! Hope to be back soon!

What a find! We all had a great time even though the weather was not its best. Very comfortable and the pool was fabulous. Getting pretty good at table tennis too. We'll be back.

This property is wonderful - waking up to see red squirrels/ deers and other wildlife was a gem. The pool is outstanding and everything was excellent.

This was a really good property and although it rained a lot we had enough on site to keep us occupied. The pool was fabulous and the games room well supplied.
